hey everyone,
this week has been all work and no rest. im so tired now. we hit another 77 lessons last week and we have 13 with a bapt date. we will see one bapt this saturday from our area and some others from the zone. we found 26 new people to teach this last week so im way excited to get out and do it again this week.
we have a busy shedule this week, we only get 1 day of regular work, other than that we have so many things to do. like zone conf and weekly plan, and some other stuff. we just have to work hard and we will be fine.
nothing super funny or cool happened this week, just lots of work honestly. we met so many cool people and we have seen some big changes in the people we are teaching. here is a cool story:
the ambrocio family has been being taught for a few months now and they have slowly shown changes. before the dad wouldnt pray, but now he prays and he is kicking his word of wisdom problems. last saturday we took the mom and the kids to the temple and showed them around and had a really nice day, but the dad couldnt come cuz he had work. the next day (sunday) we are waiting at church for them to show up cuz the dad has never ever come to church, but the mom and kids come all the time. we see their car pull up and the dad is driving, his family gets out of the car, but he just sits there in the driver seat. we walk up to him and wait by the window of his car. he opens the window and smiles at us and says, "elders is it ok if i wear my flip flops inside?" we smile and say its ok.
the way he said it and the way he acted was so funny, but it was an answer to my prayers. this family is waiting for him to be baptised. i know they will be members soon and in about a year they will enter the temple.
thats my news for ya this week. i love you all. take care till next week.

Trip to the Hospital AGAIN! (Oct 20 2009)

we hit 76 lessons this week and 14 at church and a bunch with a bapt date so i was pumped, but then i had the trip to the hosptial that was not good at all.
i sent some pics. they are of me and my friends and some ppl here in the mission.
so ill tell you some stories.
1) thursday we got one house and teach them nd give them a bapt date and its all good. they tell us the baby is sick so i get this feeling that we need to bless the baby. the feeling is so strong. we leave the house and are walking and i stop and tell my comp we need to go back and bless the baby. my comp says, "we can just do it on saturday when we see them again" so i ignore the feeling and we just go off to work again. saturday rolls around and we end 2 hrs away from our area (see story#2) and dont get home till 1030pm so we cant bless the baby. sunday the family does not show up at church so we leave church after 2nd hour and go bless the baby. the reason they couldnt come to church is cuz the baby was so sick. now the baby is fine. i learned a lesson the hard way. this familys bapt date moved cuz i didnt listent o the spirit. i was so sad when i found out why they couldnt come to church.
story #2
saturday starts off well, we are working up on the mountain and we have a really good day so far. 2pm rolls around and we get a text from one of the DLs in our zone who says his comp is way sick and is in the hospital. i text the mission pres wife and she tells me its no worry, its just a bunch of drama. the DL says he needs us to come see him and his comp and help them. i ask the mish pres wife and she says we can go there to check on things. when we get there the DL had rented a car and a driver to take him down to the hospital in the city, without even telling anyone. im on the phone with the APs and sister ho ching and we end up taking this elder to the hospital. he cant move, he cant talk, he seems bad off.
we get to the ER and he is the same. he is in pain and is sayin how much it hurts. they do xrays on him, blood tests, and take his blood pressure, then make us wait for the results. we are there all day waiting for him. at 9pm the APs call and tell me and my comp to leave the DL and his comp at the ER and we can go home. so thats what we do. 15 mins later we get a text that the elder has ben released.
tests dont lie!!! this elder had been faking it and his comp went along with it. we spent all day in the hospital for a headache. i was pretty upset. he had taken some medicine that he was not supposed to take so it made things worse. the blood tests xrays and blood pressure tests proved that it was all fake. so thats how my saturday was spent.
anyways other than that this week has been great. i love you all

Pictures and More (From Oct. 14)
hey all,
this week has been another good one. we went to the temple which is always good. we also watched all 5 sessions of gen. conf. i loved it. we didnt really get to work much saturday and sunday cuz of conference, but we still had 60 lessons this week and we had 10 come to church.
transfer calls came in last night and im safe. actually only 2 people are leaving the zone. my companion and i are together for another 6 weeks, so we have time to rock it some more and train the zone how to do the same.
dad, i wrote you a long email, then the computer crashed so it got lost (gotta love this place). anyways some people you can pray for: ambrocio family and also sister grace, and brother bryan. of course there are so many more people that we are working with, but i have seen big changes in these people and they just need a little push.
ambrocio family has been going good, but now its time for them to get thier marriage done. they have lots of kids, and have only been with eachother, but didnt wanna spend the money to get the leagal marriage.
grace has some problems at home, and with herself, so we are building her a "safety net" with the gospel.
bryan has a testimony and his wife is a member, but he just needs to read the bOM chapters we give him, and come to church and he can be put in the bapt font.
well time is short got to go, but i love you all and im doing great.
oh the pix, one is of me with my spam cooking. we dont have gas to use the stove so we use coals to cook. then me in the freeline shirt is us playing in the rain today, then me buying shoes with my comp, and some pics of the zone. anyways enjoy and ill give oyu alll a shout out next week.

Oh What A Day! (From Oct 6th)
hi everyone,
so i have had a crazy week with all the storms and stuff going on here. i am very tired and trying my best to focus. we have had a good week as far as numbers go, 50 lessons and 28 new investigators.
i woke up sunday morning a little early to get ready to go to PEC then to church. after PEC we had 13 investigators show up to sacrament meeting, and my joy was so great. i really loved seeing all those people there.
after church we went right to work. one member said he would work with us and we can take his motorcycle with a side car so we dont have to walk (it was fast sunday so that made me really happy). so we get out working and the first lesson is way good, then we get on the motorcycle and go a few mins away to focus on one area. when i get off the bike i check my pockets and my wallet is gone. luckily we had 2 members with us so i took one to look with me while my comp went to work. we got on the bike and drove for about 30 sec when the tire blew, so we had to go fix that. then we back tracted the route we took, but no luck, my wallet was gone....
i went back to and waited for my comp to get done teaching so we could meet up again. i told them wat happened and told them that we just need to keep woking. i tracted the first house that day and i noticed that they had tiles in front of the door. i was asking if anyone was home cuz the door was open and i could hear people inside, but nobody came out, so i let my comp try to get them to come out. i stepped onto one of the tiles in front of the door and it broke and i fell thru into a very large hole. im lucky ony one tile broke and only one leg fell in. i got up checked my leg and my pants, and i said good thing it didnt rip my pants, lets jst go. then my comp is behind me and starts to laugh and tells me i got a hole in my butt. sure enough i had hole in the butt of my pants and you could see my garments.
i felt like going home so bad, i just wanted to go home and go to sleep, but i said lets just keep going. and thats wat we did. a few hrs later we ended the day at bishops house with a nice big dinner to break our fast.
so thats my story for the week, hope you liked it
